Not Getting Enough Sleep Does More than Affect Your Health
If you are not taking the time to focus on getting enough exercise or staying on a healthy diet, then you are probably about to experience poor sleep. With the increased stress we are all dealing with in today's crazy times, it is common that people take that negative stress with them to bed. Unable to relax, the human mind can sometime run wild with thoughts, making it difficult to fall asleep at a reasonable hour. It doesn't take a doctor to know that when you don't get enough sleep, your body feels it. Feelings of being in fog, lack of concentration, being moody, and sometimes even having minor aches and pains can affect you until you find a way to break that stressful cycle.
In this YouTube search of "sleep studies UC Berkeley", the BioNAV team found this sleep study to be very informative, but we also believe there is opportunity for further research. Although the point in this study is about how lack of sleep can affect not just your health, but also your social life, we believe UC Berkeley might want to consider further research.
Additional studies might include - How does lack of sleep affect an individual's decision-making process, level of tolerance, shorten tempers, reasoning skills, and affect overall creativity, etc? Can these affected traits be measured in a sleep study and possibly be applied to problems in our society today? Click here to view video.
